Wax Sealed

My love letter for you

Is sadly deficient,

Like a fairy’s brew

That’s missing an ingredient.

How can I conjure

Words to express

A love that is longer

Than even Rapunzel’s tress?

A love that is deeper

Than any Minecraft cave.

Even the grim reaper

Can’t falter its wave.

My spirit is refreshed

By every smile on your face.

My fingers are obsessed

To taste your Chai embrace.

Your cleverness feeds

My mind’s wordy thirst.

Your generosity breeds

A righteous heart reimbursed.

Your random disposition

Rivals only Pinkie Pie

And perfects my ambition

To dance when I feel shy.

You make me fearless with your protection

Of my self-esteem and future

But nervous with your affection

As a young girl with a charming suitor.

Blessing, you are laughing

To heal a bad hour

And yet never masking

your compassionate power.

I didn’t even know to ask

For a man with sugar in his veins

But God gave me an endless flask

Of imagination unrestrained.

I am unworthy of your forgiveness

That you lather as thick as butter.

I could never love you less

As my fire can never be smothered.

When I picture the future,

I can clearly see you.

And our home with a poocher

And kids with kazoos.

My love letter cannot bestow

The feel that keeps my heartstrings taught

But I love you more than cookie dough

And you know that’s saying a lot.
